So the government will not revise the fuel pricing for this year, probably doing so will not tip the fragile balance to the opposition during the coming elections? Then again, natural gas prices will most like be increased by a whopping 50% within the coming weeks.

That's like a tight slap across the cheeks, no?

Now then, I really don't understand the response the general public shows during these price hikes.

Yea, its RM 1.92 per litre now.

OK. The average tank capacity of a modern day vehicle is around 40 liters, RM 76.80 per tank full. Now if the prices were to be risen by RM 0.20 per liter, its RM 2.12 per liter. Taking into account the 40 liters, it costs now RM 84.80 per tank full.

RM 84.80 - RM 76.80 = RM 8.00 per tank extra.

Just say one would patron the petrol station twice a week.

RM 8.00 x 2 x 4 = RM 64.00 monthly petrol increase if there is a RM 0.20 hike.

RM 64.00!

Unless you are one of those that are earning less than RM 1000 per month, don't bloody complain that its a burden. The rotten country has been subsidizing billions per annum for you. SUBSIDY = YOUR TAX.

Caught sight of this clinic signage after breakfast on morning. First time seeing so many languages on the door. At least they are big enough for people to take notice of, since Malaysians are generally oblivious to these door opening directions.

My department has been very generous in site visits this particular term, especially in the subject of Water Supply Engineering & Sewerage Systems. This time round, we were "bus-ed" off to Negeri Sembilan early in the morning from the faculty grounds.

It took slightly more than an hour to reach the Sungai Terib Water Treatment Plant in Jelebu district. This plant is one of the only plants in the country that has a dam right next to it as its water intake!

Frankly speaking, this is the first time I've been in an embankment dam and its shear huge-ness blew me away. The structure on the far left is the draw-off tower where the mechanical instrumentations controls the intake of water to the treatment plant. The circular structure in the middle is to flow the water to the spillways if there is a overflow of water levels.

Now...I just cant write an entry that is on a serious note. Really. I just cant.

So I went snapping pictures with my O2.

This was taken outside the intake to the DAF plant, where particles are coagualated with chemicals to float on the water surface and will be filtered later.

Looks really like the RM 1.50 ROTIBOY bread huh?

Correct me if I'm wrong. Scale in BM is skala. SEKIL??

Under normal circumstances, I would never go out to celebrate Independence Day, for whatever reason that may be, I have no idea myself why. But this time round, the bunch of us took a long drive towards Putrajaya to witness the Malaysian International Fireworks Competition on ID50's eve.

Pics and vids on it will be left for Grace to blog!

Its held right next to Putrajaya's Convention Centre @ Precint 5, overlooking the open structured bridge.

25 minutes of Japan's display really took our breathes away but what happened next really took me by surprise.

It just seems like 2 standard black & white iPod nano's, one belonging to Tze and the other to Johnny.

But, on closer inspection, the white iPod had more than meets the eye.

It turned out to be a CIPLAK iPod. (read : CIPOD not CIP*T)

Sebiji. Serious.

Review : Razer Pro|Tone M100

Pros : Great mid-range tones and deep bass tone. Comfy noise cancelling.
Cons : Below average high-range tones.
Price : RM 118 @ Machines, Midvalley.

I'm picky when it comes to sound quality. Visual presentation is second to sound clarity in my case, this triggered the search for a decent 2.1 speaker set to replace my Altec Lancing VS3151R 5.1 that I gave to Grace.

I didn't want a set with thumping bass, now that took Altec Lancing out of my shopping list.

Edifier/Sonic Gear improved drastically over the years but perhaps I'm a little brand conscious.

So I was left with either Creative/Harman Kardon/JBL, whichever that didn't break my bank account.

1st choice was the Creature II by JBL, a weird looking set that would have set me back around RM400++. Not many shops were selling this egg head, Machines @ Midvalley gave me sub standard service and that really ticked me off.

Next up was the Creative i-Trigue 3400 that would be compliment my Creative Soundblaster Live 24bit by being RM399 poorer to Low Yat. Tried to test it in Harvey Norman @ Midvalley but again, lousy/slow service stopped me right in the tracks.

Then it hit me.

Why not use the old hi-fi set back in Ipoh?

I just had to get a RCA - 3.5 mm converter for under RM20.

Yea, it's bulky and takes up large space but its worth it.

Hi-fi rocks!

The previous time I went to Langkawi, it involved a long drive and a cramped speed ferry. This time round, I flew. For the 1st time.

Journey to saw me jumping around like a little kid which cotton candy but on the way back the turbulence stirred me up bad.

Nothing beats a trip with friends. Its plain fun all the way.

The curved suspension bridge at Gunung Machincang is a sight to behold if you can catch the sunset as well.

Temurun's Waterfall is just breathtakingly beautiful.

On the other hand, Seven Wells/Telaga Tujuh is a bit the weird.

0 km/h signage really caught my attention.

Now there is this huge danger board on the way into Dayang Bunting. Apparently the monkey population here matches the influx of tourists in the area.

I just didn't expect this.

I've been driving for a good 6 years now, untainted with any single road accident in which the primary culprit was me. The only major road crash I was involved in was back in 2003. I was waiting for the lights to turn green when a speeding motorists "initial-D-ed" directly into me after he whacked into another car adjacent to me.

So this fine morning I was in Selayang Hospital area when an old bugger somehow managed to reverse into me whilst I was again stationary.

Damage was not too bad; a broken signal lamp cover and a dented fender.

But the OLD FART was a handful. Inability to admit mistake is one matter, being a total JACKASS is another.

REALLY DIE STANDING STATIONARY.
